What's your Commissions???

That's a fair question, right? Being a Realtor in Arkansas for 25 years, I have been ask that one question more than any other. What's it gonna cost me? Will you discount your fee? Will you take less?  And my answer is always YES!!! But before we talk about my fee, let's talk about my services. If the fee is what is most important to you I may not be the Realtor for you, and that's ok. You see when I agree to take your listing on, I'm making a hugh commitment to you, not just with my time but also with my money. I take that very seriously. I need you to understand that my services cost me too. I have monthly fees and dues, I have 2 full time assistants, signs, advertising, desk fee, and more advertising, Zillow, Trulia, realtor.com, land and home, home finder, remax.com, and list goes on and on. The public doesn't realize all that is evolved in running our business, it's an expensive business to be in. I would also beat to say that most of us don't get the fee we have negotiated once the buyer and seller start negotiating the purchase price, the repairs, etc. And that's ok, too. I like to explain to my sellers, you bet I will cut my commission, if that's what it takes to make a deal work, you bet. But on the front end, NO, because I know I'm gonna be reducing that once we start negotiating. Have I lost listings Yes, and you know what that's ok. Would love to hear your ideas and experiences.
